Blameless and Forever Free Ministries understands the importance in keeping the loved ones and friends of our incarcerated beloveds, along with our followers, as informed as possible during this Novel coronavirus.
As of August 1, 2020, the CDCR/CCHCS is reporting that there are currently 1,246 incarcerated beloveds who are "active" carriers of COVID-19 inside California state prisons. That's a grand total of 8,385 inmate population being infected.
There are also 1,010 CDCR/CCHCS "active" staff members who have tested positive, along with 882 "resolved" staff member carriers that have returned back to work. This totals 1,892 staff infections.
Sadly, it has been reported that we now have 50 incarcerated beloveds who have passed away from what appears to be from health-related complications due to COVID-19, along with eight (8) staff members.
Blameless and Forever Free Ministries would like to express our sincere condolences to the families of those who have passed away. May you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you. We honor their lives through our work.
For the first time in three decades, the incarcerated population inside California state prisons is below 100,000 persons. As of August 4, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) in-prison population is 98,635.
Blameless and Forever Free Ministries is tracking changes within CDCR's policies and procedures very closely and sharing updates and resources as we receive them.
